Foundation — Episode 4, Barbarians At The Gate

Don’t Touch Me

By Mark

At the start of this episode Cleon the 14th, Cassian Bilton (“Shoal (Short)”, “Seclusion (Short)”) attempts to kill himself by jumping out of the window, but is saved by some kind of force around him.

It transpires that there is a field around the clones that repels kinetic energy. You can touch them, if you go really, really, slowly.

A man visits the clones to inform them that the Proxima on Trantor, Opel, has passed. They believe Galot will replace her but the man informs them someone else is in the running, someone who doesn’t follow the Empire’s views.

As the clones are direct copies of Cleon The First, there are some, including the potential incoming Proxima, who believe they don’t have souls, not human. Should more people believe this, the Brothers fear the repercussions.

Meanwhile, on Terminus, the Anacreons capture Salvor and ask her to take them to the tower in the city. However, the force-field is DNA encoded and she can only get one through, Phara, Kubbra Sait (“Wakaalat from Home (TV)”, “RejctX (TV)”).

However, on the way to the city Salvor takes them too close to The Vault, knocking Phara out. When they question her they find out she is the main huntress of Anacreon and the rest of her team circle the city.

Meanwhile Brother Day, Lee Pace (“ Captain Marvel “, “30 Beats”), begins to wonder if Hari Seldon’s, Jared Haris (“Chernobyl (TV)”, “Allied”), computations aren’t true.

He reminds Brother Dusk, Terrence Mann (“Sense8 (TV )”, “Critters”), of the need to show compassion when they were looking for someone to blame for the Star Bridge incident.

He tells Brother Dusk that he should stay and he will go to sort the Proxima issue, something that has never happened before, the main clone leaving.
