Ryan Gosling Takes Lee Majors Place As The Unknown Stuntman

Oh how I loved The Fall Guy when I was a kid growing up. From the theme tune, performed by Majors himself, less said about that the better perhaps, to the 1908’s GMC truck.

I guess it was also that I fancied being a stuntman when I was a younger (that ship having now very much sailed) not that The Fall Guy, from what I remember at least, necessarily showed what the profession was really like.

But still, it was funny, had action and, well, what more did you want as a kid growing up?

Well, apparently, I’m not the only one who feels this way because The Fall Guy is back, this time with Ryan Gosling taking the lead.

Directed by David Leitch (“Bullet Train”, “Deadpool 2”) from a script by Drew Pearce (“Hobbs & Shaw”), look, this is unlikely to be Shakespeare ok? But if it keeps it’s tongue in its cheek, gives us action and laughs, then we should be ok, right?

The trailer isn’t exactly what I hoped to see if I’m honest. The truck is still there, though appears to be sidelined at some point and there’s the slightest hint of the theme tune, but mostly it’s Bon Jovi. Excited, but very apprehensive too. Time will tell as The Fall Guy won’t hit cinemas until March 2024.
